OBJECTIVE: To introduce the basics of jewelry repair by learning the terminology, tools, practices, and techniques in a personalized student/jeweler setting.   There will be hands-on experience in minor repairs. This course will prepare the student for an occupation in jewelry repair with basic expertise.
(JRC1):                  15 Hours Instruction                       $450.00
The first session in the Jewelry Repair Course series. This class will introduce the student to jewelry in general. Particular attention will be given to: types of jewelry, metals, stones, findings, terminology, and hands-on experience. The instruction will also include bead stringing. There is no pre-requisite for this session.
(JRC2):                  15 Hours Instruction                       $450.00
The student will explore gemstones and precious metals. The student will be challenged to bend, heat, and test metals. Pre-requisite: JRC1
(JRC3):                  15 Hours Instruction                       $450.00
Soldering and stone setting combine to give valuable lessons in creativity. Learn about special finishes on jewelry and about engraving. Pre-requisite: JRC2
