Clock Repair Course (CRC)
OBJECTIVE: To introduce the basics of clock repair by learning the terminology, tools, practices, and techniques in a one-on-one student/teacher setting. There will be hands-on experience in minor repairs. This course will prepare the student for an occupation in clock repair with basic expertise.
(CRC1): 15 Hours Instruction $450.00
The first session in the Clock Repair Course series. This class will introduce the student to clocks in general. Enter the “time zone” and discover what makes antique clocks tick, timepieces keep time, and what causes the chiming and striking in clocks. There is no pre-requisite for this session.
(CRC2): 15 Hours Instruction $450.00
Understand what quartz technology is all about. Learn about the differences and similarities between battery-operated and wind-up timepieces. Pre-requisite: CRC1
(CRC3): 15 Hours Instruction $450.00
Disassemble and clean a simple clock. Discover why cucu’s cucu, 400-day clocks are wound annually, and why most ship’s clocks have jewels. Pre-requisite: CRC2
