Jewelry Maker Course (JMC)
OBJECTIVE: This course will provide instruction by designing and making jewelry while utilizing the principles and techniques learned in previous courses and reinforcing the confidence needed to pursue this trade to the fullest extent. This is accomplished with creative projects intended to explore new techniques, materials, and ideas. This course will prepare the student for an occupation as an expert jewelry maker.
(JMC1): 15 Hours Instruction $550.00
Building on the Jewelry Specialist Course, the student will enjoy the fascination of working with wire, string, and beads to make unique jewelry designs. Pre-requisite: the student must complete the Jewelry Specialist Course.

Using the skills of soldering and stone setting, discover the hidden world of creative expression combining channel, bezel, and prong setting with free form. Pre-requisite: JMC1

Learn to use the graver and engraving techniques as special finishes are applied to jewelry designed to resemble works of antiquity. Pre-requisite: JMC2

Enjoy the fun of unlimited ideas while working with precious metal clay. Pre-requisite: JMC3
(JMC5): 15 Hours Instruction $550.00
Using the ideas of the past with today’s technology, the student will do enameling, cloisonné, metal forming, and more. Pre-requisite: JMC4
(JMC6): 15 Hours Instruction $550.00
In this casting class, originality is a must as you carve the wax into a piece of jewelry. Try sand casting and compare to centrifugal casting. Pre-requisite: JMC5
